What's more, HMRC has even granted GSK tax relief on the profits of a lupus drug that was previously unaffordable for UK lupus patients due to the exorbitant price GSK demanded from the NHS (£769.50 per dose).
With NHS budgets under strain and tax increases looming, it's high time the government demands more from drug companies in exchange for their "innovation" tax breaks. It's also time for companies like GSK to be transparent about the substantial financial support they receive from the UK tax system.
